Established in 1887, Fostoria was once the largest maker of handmade glassware in the United States.

The AMERICAN pattern is the longest produced glass pattern in U.S. history, introduced in 1915 and produced for 75 years, and is one of the most diverse, with almost 400 shapes made in this single pattern. All Fostoria pieces were handmade using three-part molds, represented by the 3 mold lines seen on each piece.

COIN pattern was produced beginning in 1958 thru 1982. The sharp relief in the coins on this piece indicate it is a piece created in 1958.
